"summary": "A 51-room Hoshino Resorts property built almost inside Unzen's steaming Jigoku hot-spring hells, opened in late 2022 with 16 rooms carrying a private balcony onsen. Nagasaki Joe stayed five months in on a breakfast-only plan (no dinner sampled) and found real strengths in the shared sulfur bathhouse and the breakfast kitchen, but called the room overly spartan and the exterior plain for a brand-new building. He judged it decent, though at a similar price he would pick the traditional ryokan next door instead.",
